Who are we to one another?

Every one of us is unique — but it’s not because we don’t share common ground, but because each of us, psychologically, is made up of different combinations from the same group of things.

We all draw from the same collective group of experiences. You may not know how to shovel a driveway out from a snowfall if you lived in a tropical climate, but you might share the same experience of sun-blindness with someone from that colder place.

Why is this important? Because someone who you may think shares nothing in common with you may have experiences that are comparable to yours — a different way to the same answer. Not every step of a journey needs to be identical for those journeys to share high points and hardships.

Don’t dismiss the experiences of others as irrelevant. If you consider their point of view too, you might find you have more answers, and more wisdom, to work with in your life.

Cherish the wisdom others can give you, and the wisdom you can find within.
