IC Info:
Jasmine Taylor runs the TikTok stream called Jaz/Hands (and has Fame 1) , where she is accompanied by an orange polydactyl long-haired tabby cat named Hands. The two make funny videos. A few of those videos have gone seriously viral, enough that she’s made a fair amount of money and put it away to live on once the whole TikTok fad dies out. She’s often filming Hands’ antics, and has a leash and harness for him — when he’s not riding her shoulders. He’s usually with her, though he seems to go unnoticed by most people unless they really pay attention.
Journeys with Jasmine is her second channel, a new venture that involves discussion of nonspecific spirituality and mindfulness, in the form of short video essays about a wide variety of topics.
She is a native Southern Californian in her twenties, a graduate of UCLA’s Computer Science department. She is a nonspecific Pagan, and practices mindfulness and other techniques in order to seek a perfected life. She believes strongly in the spiritual aspects of the world being vibrant and alive, and espouses the idea of wholistic self-care and care for others.
She lives in Santa Monica, and loves the beach, coffee, and wandering the various parts of LA to seek out the perfect shot with her GoPro or her Canon.
OOC Info:
Jasmine is a roleplaying character on Liberation MUSH.
She is a California girl from Orange County who moved to Los Angeles for college and never left. This kinda-nerdy-but-likeable girl who spent a lot of her time online or watching anime wound up going to UCLA for Computer Science, specializing in Multimedia. She had intended to go into social media production, which is what she did for a variety of well-known YouTubers and TikTokers before she started her own channels and one of them took off in popularity.
She Awakened during her college years after an accident where she fell off the roof of a dorm in a drunken state, and somehow called an air elemental to save her. She wound up being taught by the Dreamspeaker (Kha’vadi) shaman Jay Walker-Between (Javier Walker-Jonata) of the Chumash tribe, but her tutelage was cut short by Jay’s death from a pattern bleed from Paradox.
She’s currently a member of the Membership Committee at the Glendale Tool Company chantry, and enjoys being around people who are both similar to and different from her magically. Since she is a member of the Kha’vadi’s Ghost Wheel Society, she is a technopagan practitioner, often referring to herself as a ‘geekwitch’ (and more seriously, as a techie bruja), working with old methods and new side by side.
